We wanted to continue making the payroll process a total breeze for alfii customers and deliver the easiest experience possible. Building on our existing easy-to-use payroll product, we rolled out a brand new feature for UAE-based employers to pay employee salaries through the platform in a safe and compliant way.
Introducing direct salary payments.
With this new feature, admin users can initiate salary payments to their employees straight from the alfii platform, streamlining the entire payroll management and payment process.
Why does this matter?
For the first time in the region, UAE-based companies can now disburse employee salaries to their employees in just a few clicks through the alfii platform! Partnering with one of the UAE’s most reputable financial institutions also adds the advantage of enabling payments to both banked and unbanked employees, while offering a compliant solution for UAE businesses.
Here’s a quick run-through of how it works:
1️⃣ First, initiate the setup of a payment account directly from the platform.
Admin users can register for a payroll processing account without having to leave the platform. Start by either filling in the required details to create an account, or if you have an existing account with our payment processing partner, you can connect it easily.
Next, your registration details will be sent to our payment processing partner, who will then handle the communication and onboarding with you, as this part requires due diligence to be carried out. A representative will get in touch with you directly to guide you through this part of the process.
After 24-48 hours, you’ll receive a notification confirmation of an account successfully activated/declined. If your account is approved, you will receive an email explaining what you can expect when you want to run payroll.
While you wait for the account to get approved, that progress will be entirely visible on alfii, all the way until the account gets activated.
2️⃣ While you wait, set up your payroll details on the alfii platform
Start by adding your employee data to the platform and filling in their salary information.
Once that’s done, your employee data will appear in your payroll table.
3️⃣ Once your account is approved, you can initiate salary transfers in just a few clicks!
To do this, you’ll need to first add our payment processing account as a beneficiary in your bank account.
After that’s done, you’ll be able to initiate a salary transfer from your bank account to your new payment processing account directly through the alfii platform.
What's next?
We’re on the way to making it possible for users to pay employees using direct deposits and various exchange houses. This means that users will be able to add employees and other exchange houses as a beneficiary.
